The Gorges du Tarn, and more broadly the whole of the department of Lozère, benefits from avery preserved environment. You will be able to see it during your stay. This is due in particular to the flow population density(16 inhabitants per km² in Lozère) and amountain agriculture that respects nature and the seasons.

At Gîte de la Baume, we want to participateon our scale, in a reasoned, thoughtful and constructed wayto preserve our destination. We therefore put at your disposal for the duration of your holiday:

- reusable picnic utensils (plates, cups, cutlery, water bottles)

- reusable fabric bags and coolers as well as 2 old bicycles to do your small local shopping at the village merchants (baker, butcher, local produce shop, souvenir shop)

- day tours by sector to save fuel

- a compost bin

- recent heating appliances (pellet stove and radiant heaters)
