La Malène is also the crossroads between two Causses - The Causse de Sauveterre to the north and the Causse Méjean to the south. An incredible opportunity to discover magnificent landscapes on these limestone plateaus and to make visits as unexpected as they are unmissable...

On the Causse de Sauveterre

Under no circumstances should you miss the fascinating panorama that can be seen from the place called Le Point Sublime. We won't tell you more, go for it! You can also take the direction of Canourgue, the little Venice of Lozère, and take a tour of this charming town before going to visit the Malakoff chocolate factory, the opportunity for a little delicacy.

On the Causse Méjean

A day on the Causse Méjean is an atypical day in many respects ... moreover, 2 days to really discover this plateau in depth would be much more appropriate! It is impossible to remain indifferent to this immense expanse where agropastoralism registered with Unesco is still very present. On this plateau, we invite you to visit the Aven Armand, the Ferme Caussenarde d'Autrefois and the Moulin à Vent de la Borie. Don't hesitate either to go and taste sheep's cheese at Fromagerie le Fédou and sheep's milk ice cream at Ferme Armand et Marie, and to go as far as Le Villaret to see Przwalski's Horses. On your way back to Le Malène, stop to eat at the Panorama du Roc des Hourtous. You will see the Straits with height!
